The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed about the high number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area each day. The service issue designed for intervention encounters a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it challenging with the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all consumers and increase entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
